Our established Client based in Dover is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Building Services.  This position is offered as a permanent and full time position.  Project manager Building services 

Purpose of the Project Manager role – to manage the delivery of multi-disciplinary building services projects from inception to completion in a collaborative ‘Framework Contract’ environment, leading project teams of; contractors, designers, maintainers, operators and other stakeholders.  To ensure that projects are effectively managed to achieve required project outcomes. Effective collaboration with the supply chain and other stakeholders and technical competence in the design and build process are essential. 

Duties/Skills/Experience: 

  • ·         Good technical skills from the design and build process of building services and strong project management skills from inception to completion of multi-disciplinary projects in operational environments.
  • ·         Lead and manage project teams delivering a range of building services projects from inception to completion
  • ·         Produce and maintain project initiation and control documents
  • ·         Produce project scope documents for procurement of services and works
  • ·         Produce project Gateway papers and present for approval
  • ·         Manage project budgets, costs and risk
  • ·         Produce and maintain project delivery programmes
  • ·         Proactively communicate with project stakeholders
  • ·         Ensure that projects are delivered safely and in compliance with all applicable legislation.
  • ·         Championing customer service delivery by ensuring robust planning, effective communication and timely delivery.
  • ·         Act as Project Manager under the NEC Engineering and Construction Contract and represent the Client under the NEC Professional Services Contract
  • ·         As and when needed undertaken Project Management duties on projects outside of building services
  • ·         BSc/BEng in Building Services or similar
  • ·         Understanding of CDM Regulations and H&S Legislation
  • ·         Project Management Qualification from the APM or other professional organisation.
  • ·         Full UK driving licence – essential
  • ·         Computer literate
  • ·         A proven track record of:
    • §  Minimum of 5 years of demonstrable experience as project manager for building services projects
    • §  Managing projects through the project lifecycle from inception to completion.
    • §  Working collaboratively with contractors, consultants and other stakeholders
    • §  Proactive communication and management of expectations. 
  • §  Producing Works and Site Information for pricing by Contractors and Scope information for pricing by Consultants 
  • §  Fulfilling the role of Project Manager under the NEC contracts. 
  • §  Managing a portfolio of small to medium size projects.
  • §  Producing project budgets and managing costs against budget.
  • §  Producing work/product break down structures and producing and maintaining project programmes using MS Project.
  • §  Producing and maintaining project risk registers
