Our Client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer. The role is offered as a permanent full-time position working rotating shifts Monday to Friday.
Salary: £52,875 pa, inc 17.5% shift allowance
Hours: 37.5 hours pw, Monday to Friday
Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm alternate weeks
Monday to Friday 1.50pm to 10pm (finishing at 8.30pm Friday) alternate week
(There may be some requirement to work overtime and nights with prior notice)
Location: Dartford
Benefits: excellent benefits package including 6% non contractual bonus
Carry out routine and preventative mechanical maintenance duties, and where trained appropriately, minor electrical maintenance, fault finding and repair to manufacturing equipment / building services.
Mechanical Engineer person specification:
- Qualified e.g. C&G level qualification or above, ideally time served
- Previous experience of maintenance within manufacturing environment – food or pharma or similar
- fault finding, planned and preventative maintenance
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office. Skilled in problem solving and innovation.
- Flexible to work around team requirements,
- Physically fit, no fears of heights, tight spaces.
Desirable skills/experience:
- Degree qualified
- Lean qualification/trained
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Project
- Computer literate
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly organized
