Our Client based near to Gravesend requires a number of Production Operatives to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Working 40 hours per week on static shifts of:

  • 1.30pm – 10.30pm Monday to Friday

Overtime is available and paid at time and a half!

Duties will include:

  • Report to the Production Supervisor

  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice is being applied

  • Ensure the Critical Control Points identified in the Company’s HACCP plan are properly monitored and recorded.

  • Follow the Company Hygiene code.

  • Ensure the double check/sign off procedure is followed and all paperwork and labelling is completed accurately and signed off.

  • Carry out product testing including HPLC analysis as required

  • Stop production immediately and report to the Production Supervisor if any incorrect, contaminated or degraded raw materials

  • Closely supervise any temporary staff employed in production

  • Ensure your time sheets are completed

  • Deputise for the Production Supervisor as required

  • Ensure productions are carried out according to instructions and paperwork completed accurately and signed off.

  • Work as efficiently as possible to maximise the throughput during your shift and leave the production areas and equipment in a fit state for the next shift to start

  • Ensure tools, ingredients and other items are correctly located when not in use.

  • Attend meetings as required for training or other work related issues

  • Participate in the daily production meeting when your shift allows

  • Report any shortages of sundry items and consumables.

  • Ensure part labels are applied and accurate

  • Ensure all unused stock is returned to the correct storage location (recorded on paperwork)

  • Leave the warehouse in a tidy state, do not block access for picking

  • Ensure all spillages are cleaned up immediately and bins emptied/rubbish cleared

  • Ensure allergens are left correctly labelled and located/positioned


  • Counterbalance forklift training desirable

  • Excel and word experience required

  • Good at report writing

£17,500 - £19,000, depending on experience
