Our Client based in Medway is currently looking for a Quality Inspector (compliance) to join their quality team in a full-time permanent position reporting to the Quality Engineer.

Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and 4pm finish on Friday

£19k pa.

This position is perfect for a candidate who is looking to gain entry into an engineering/Quality Assurance environment.

Duties:

  • All Goods Inwards and final Inspection activities using vendor ratings, sampling plan and component specifications.
  • Creating inspection specifications for final inspection, goods inwards and special labelling and completed assemblies prior to despatch, checking type, function, customer requirements and standard of packing.
  • Product Auditing and Testing.
  • Support of non-conforming incoming components to relevant parties and control of non-conforming components in production.
  • Collection, analysis and reporting of vendor performance KPI’s.
  • Maintenance of calibration records for test and manufacturing equipment.
  • Assistance with the processing of customer returns and complaints.
  • Inspection of special processes i.e. special labelling, kitting and assemblies.

·Participate in first article inspections (FAI) for supplied materials or products.

  • Effectively communicate and reinforce HE’s commitment to quality improvement efforts.
  • Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Technical and Production, to resolve internal or external material issues.

·Perform necessary duties as an Internal Auditor and provide ongoing communication / reporting of results.

·Support the controlled document system to include a final review of all changes to procedures, inspection instructions, forms, master lists and other associated documents.

Skills/ Attributes:

·Mechanical or Electrical Engineering experience or equivalent.

·Manufacturing (work) experience and/or quality assurance experience.

  • Internal auditing experience - Desirable

·Certificate courses for manufacturing – Desirable

·The ability to read and understand engineering drawings.

·SAP Knowledge and experience – Desirable
