Our established manufacturing Client based in Medway is currently looking for an Assistant Materials Controller to join their team on a temp to perm basis starting ASAP!

Proven experience of working in materials control as well as in an office environment are essential for this role.

 Working Monday – Thursday 8am – 4:30pm Friday 8am – 3:30pm (39 hours per week).

 

Duties include:

  •  Raising material orders when minimum stock levels are reached
  • Monitoring and maintaining computerised stock system to ensure an accurate record of stock movement is kept

  • Raising raw material orders when minimum stock levels are reached

  • Processing and input of data

  • Submitting data to payroll

  • Assisting with monthly stock counts

  • Updating stock records and highlighting slow moving stocks

  • Monitoring and maintaining computerised stock system to ensure an accurate record of stock movement is kept

  • Producing monthly or ad hoc supplier rejection reports

 Skills/ Attributes:

  • Efficient, well organised and capable of working to critical deadlines

  • GSCE’s and above

  • Proactive

  • Numerate with an eye for detail

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Proficient in the use of Excel and MRP

  • Experience in the use of SAGE purchasing systems would be desirable
