Our Client is currently looking for skilled Business Development Managers (Sea/Air Freight) to join their team based in Southampton.

Duties include:

• Recognition, acquisition, growth and retention of a customer base within the Air & Seafreight sectors
• Attend external meetings
• Quote preparation and closing
• Fully accountable for the growth cross these sectors, in line with a structured sales scheme
• Involved with market campaigns
• Required to generate weekly and monthly progress reports
• Personal sales activity planning, key account planning, generation of leads for both the Telesales Team and self-generation of appointments

Skills/ Attributes

• At minimum of 2 years Commercial freight sales and / or operational experience
• Strong, confident personality with experience of sales is required
• Excellent communication skills (face-to-face and over the phone)
• Time management skills are essential
• The ability to prioritise and to work under pressure of workload and within a targeted environment
• Commercially aware (focus on gross profit growth and cost control)
• Able to understand/explain products and services and take and resolve queries and objections

An excellent salary and uncapped commission is on offer
