Our Client is currently looking for skilled Business Development Managers (Sea/Air Freight) to join their team based in Northampton.

Duties include:

·Recognition, acquisition, growth and retention of a customer base within the Air & Seafreight sectors

·Attend external meetings

·Quote preparation and closing

·Fully accountable for the growth cross these sectors, in line with a structured sales scheme

·Involved with market campaigns

·Required to generate weekly and monthly progress reports

·Personal sales activity planning, key account planning, generation of leads for both the Telesales Team and self-generation of appointments

Skills/ Attributes

·At minimum of 2 years Commercial freight sales and / or operational experience

·Strong, confident personality with experience of sales is required

·Excellent communication skills (face-to-face and over the phone)

·Time management skills are essential

·The ability to prioritise and to work under pressure of workload and within a targeted environment

·Commercially aware (focus on gross profit growth and cost control)

·Able to understand/explain products and services and take and resolve queries and objections
