Our Client based near Bexleyheath is currently looking for a Purchasing Assistant to their Finance and Procurement team.

You will be responsible for ensuring that confirmation of orders are chased and confirmed in a set time frame, as well as, progressing of orders and maintaining due dates and reporting any delays.

Purchasing experience within the M&E Industry is essential.

Person Requirements

·Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a purchasing/procurement team.

·Good working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel and other MS Office applications.

  • Excellent administration skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills – confident telephone manner.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

·You will have meticulous attention to detail and be able to work on your own initiative.

  • Ability to manage workload and meet tight deadlines.

·Previous experience working in the Construction of similar industry is preferred but not essential.

Duties will include:

·Raise Orders on POP system.

·Liaising with other departments to ensure efficient procurement through approved suppliers and controlling the number of suppliers used.

·Assist in identifying opportunities for cost reductions.

·Matching receipts to purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies with supplier.

·Assisting with the collection and matching of POD to invoice.

·Resolving price queries with the Accounts Team.

·Responsible for keeping records of all Plant and Equipment on Hire.

·Liaising with multiple sites.

Working hours are Monday – Friday 8:30 – 5pm.

Salary is dependent on skills and experience.
