Job Description

Our established Client based in Gillingham, Kent (ME8) is looking for a Software Support Technician to join their busy team.

When fully trained as a Software Support Technician you will provide excellent customer service to all Customers.  You will work in a fun and vibrant team, you will be speaking with Customers to talk through issues with their software package that books appointments etc.

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience/attributes:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft office - Word, EXCEL & Outlook
  • Previous helpdesk experience would be an advantage
  • Experience of supporting Windows Servers and Windows Desktop (not essential).
  • Understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration (not essential).
  • Full training given

Key responsibilities:

  • To provide telephone support to customers on queries relating to use of software and software faults.
  • To take ownership of calls and follow through to completion.
  • To keep clients fully informed of progress in relation to open calls.
  • To accurately record details of actions and advice given.
  • To accurately diagnose hardware related issues and escalate to third party hardware support.
  • To escalate serious issues in a timely manner.

Salary offered is from C£18,500 pa

25 days annual holiday (plus bank holidays).
