Our Client based in South Kent requires an AutoCAD Technician to join their team.
Skills and Qualifications required:
Formal qualification or experience working in a construction related discipline i.e. Civil Engineering 
At least 5 years proven AutoCAD experience in a construction related environment. 
An understanding of the features of a drawing management database
Experience in interpreting and developing processes, strong analytical and organisational ability.
Demonstrable track record managing large data and implementing new systems
Demonstrate a good knowledge of construction terminology and technical drafting.
At least 2 years experience with Document Management Systems
Driving licence and use of own vehicle
Duties could include:
Will be expected to have (and maintain) technical knowledge in relation to AutoCAD and provide technical advice in respect this knowledge and to others within the organisation. 
Will be responsible for maintaining the Board's AutoCAD installations including all customisations and user specific preferences
Will be responsible for preparing and maintaining AutoCAD drawings of the Board's estate and assets/facilities, using knowledge of relevant construction/building design codes, drafting experience and existing as built/design information.
Will assist in the creation and maintenance of documents structures and metadata recording for drawings and other asset management documents. You may be required to undertake configuration of systems as part of this function.
Will assist in the creation of a self-serving drawing database and be responsible for ensuring that the organisations 40,000+ drawings are ready for the transition.
Will be responsible for the checking (quality and compliance), recording and filing of all internally and externally produced record drawings. This includes ensuring all drawings are filled correctly and to make periodic checks of compliance to the Board’s policies in relation to document management. 
Will assist in maintaining a strategy and system for managing all archived drawing data.  
Will implement and maintain the AutoCAD standards and procedures in respect of the Board’s assets, installations and services.
Will champion the introduction and use of our asset management systems and processes and assist with the day-to-day delivery of the overall asset management system.
Will be expected to undertake asset management projects and initiatives and efficiently organise resources to meet objectives
