Our Client based in South Kent requires a Programme Planner join their Programme Management Office team. The purpose of the Programme Planner role is to implement and maintain a comprehensive planning function for projects and programmes.

Skills and Qualifications required:

·Educated to A-level or higher. Previous development/construction/purchasingrelated document control and/or commercial administration role.

·Experience working in a project management environment and with a PMO.

·Experienced in programme schedule management and associated techniques (i.e. critical path analysis).

·Experienced in construction projects including civil engineering, buildings, M&E and maintenance or FM projects.

·Experience creating and maintaining programmes or portfolios of works, projects or sub-projects.

·Good working knowledge of tools and techniques to manage; scope, cost, resources, risk, quality, procurement, change, benefits and project/programme governance.

Duties include:-

·Act as the focal point for all project planning processes. Take responsibility for ensuring that schedules are maintained, updated and reported on in line with current policy and procedures. Lead on behalf of the PMO to improve how programmes are managed under various contract types, particularly NEC3.

·Responsible for developing the business level plan of projects and programmes and for supporting the drive for improvements to schedule planning and resource management planning across the business with particular focus on Engineering, Procurement and Finance. Produce and maintain any supporting documents relating to schedule management within the Programme Management Office.

·Provide high quality monthly reporting of programmes and projects schedule performance against baselines with appropriate analysis and commentary to support governance and other management decision making.

·Provide support to project managers and commercial managers across their programmes of work, assisting with the creation and maintenance of schedules, milestone and variance reporting. Establish the impact of variances upon the relevant programme and report accordingly.

·Support the Commercial Manager – Strategic Programmes in driving the creation of efficient programmes of works, providing long range planning and analysis of scope to enable the business to package scope in effective and efficient procurement and delivery programmes.

·Support programmes and major projects with creation of project risk registers, maintaining an overview of all project risk and reporting monthly on risk exposure.

·Support Engineering, Procurement and Finance in the production and maintenance of the Long-Term Asset Plan (LTAP), supporting with resource planning, scenario analysis and other enhanced planning and analysis techniques.

·Develop, implement and maintain other schedule plans and tools as required by the business to deliver its objectives, major projects and programmes.
