Our  Client on the outskirts of Dartford is seeking an Electronic Manufacturing Engineer – the role is to assist in day-to-day plant operations, programming machines, validating programs and ensuring production is always supported. The successful candidate will continually improve manufacturing efficiencies by utilizing continuous improvement techniques whilst maintaining a high level of quality.

Job role:Permanent, full time

Location:Near Dartford, Kent

Hours:8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday – 37.5 hours per week

Holiday:25 days + 8 BH

Electronic Manufacturing Engineer key responsibilities:

·Assessing technologies and developing manufacturing plan.

·Follow the product life cycle, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), specifications, process development and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) builds.

·Establish, deliver and maintain manufacturing processes for new products throughout the product life cycle.

·Analyse new equipment such as Automatic Optical Inspection machines with the intent of achieving continuous improvements.

·Create programs for automatic programmable equipment such as surface mount machines.

·Develop process documentation and train personnel on new and existing processes.

·Develop and perform designed experiments (DOE) and capability studies, develops process specifications, and designs and procure process tooling.

·Support production in high-level technical problems

·To analyse performance and liaise with Quality to investigate trends and recommend process improvements.

·Daily problem solving of assembly processes using root cause analysis.

·The creation & control of manufacturing documentation.

The key skills and qualities of an Electronic Manufacturing Engineer are:

·Understanding lean manufacturing techniques.

·Understanding of computerised manufacturing systems (ERP, MRP).

·Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

·Able to communicate, both within the working group and the organisation.

·Understanding Project management and prioritize multiple projects
