Our Client is seeking a skilled Engineering Shift Technician, ideally electrically bias or multiskilled, working 12 hour continental shift pattern including day and night shfits/365.

 

Salary:                         £52,500 pa

Location:                     Erith, Kent

Hours:                         continuous 12 hour day/night shift including weekends, ave 40  hours pw

Benefits:                      overtime paid after 12 hours worked – time and half and double time depending on hours worked

Engineering Shift Technician Responsibilities

 

  • To carry out planned, preventative and predictive maintenance on all types of equipment, machinery and processes operated across the site.

 

  • To carry out fault-finding and repair on equipment to minimise plant downtime and optimise efficiency.

 

  • To conduct routine checks and monitoring of equipment.

 

  • To undertake electrical, instrumentation, automation control and calibration as appropriate.

 

  • To perform electrical isolations as part of the Co’s Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) safe system of work.

 

  • Use the Maximo work order system for creation and completion of work orders.

 

  • To ensure that at all times tools, equipment and your working area is fit for purpose.

 

  • To work as part of the shift team to ensure safe and efficient operation of the plant.

 

  • Establish and maintain good housekeeping standards in all areas of influence and observe good manufacturing practice (GMP) standards.

 

 

 

Engineering Shift Technician Profile

 

  • A multi-skilled engineering technician with experience in electrical, mechanical and control disciplines.

 

  • At least 5 years’ experience working in an industrial/process environment.

 

  • Proven experience working with electrical distribution apparatus.

 

  • A good knowledge and understanding of safe working practices.

 

  • PLC experience is desirable.

 

  • A recognised electrically biased qualification at HNC or equivalent demonstrable experience.

 

  • High voltage and/or hazardous area work experience would be an advantage.
