Our Client based in Kent is seeking a Junior Technical Sales Engineer.

The role of Junior Technical Sales Engineer will involve some UK and International travel to attend trade shows and client visits (pool car supplied)

Salary: £18K - £23K pa. Benefits include: company pension & healthcare, 28 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing with length of service, company health care package and competitive workplace pension. Ideally the candidate will have a full clean UK Driving licence.

The Junior Technical Sales Engineer will join a busy sales team to provide pre- and after-sales advice, in particular for the Hybrid Power division. Our Client designs, manufactures and sells hybrid energy management and control systems into the marine, off grid, vehicle and industrial markets and are the UK distributor for a number of well-known brands in the power industry.

The role: Offering technical knowledge and advice to clients about the bespoke products and systems, then raising quotes. Typical activities will include:

discussing a client’s project so that you fully understand their needs.

preparing client quotations

meeting regular sales targets and co-ordinating sales projects

providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services

liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts

developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements

matching a client’s requirements to a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery.

supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events

making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs.

For the role of Junior Technical Sales Engineer the company will provide internal and external product training. The successful candidate should possess a suitable electrical or electronics qualification, have strong organisational skills, and be able to prioritise enquiries. An understanding of electrical principles (both AC and DC) is key to being able to offer advice on the products they provide.
