Our Client based on the outskirts of Ashford is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer.Candidates must have their own transport.The ideal candidate would be time served and used to working on production line/CNC machinery.

As part of this role, you will be required to work the following shift pattern:

Week 1 –

Monday & Tuesday 7.30am to 6.15pm

Wednesday & Thursday 8.30am to 7.15pm

Week 2 –

Wednesday to Friday 7.30am to 6.15pm

Saturday 6am to 4pm

Daily overtime and extra shifts are available: Annual salary with shift allowance and OT up to c£38K pa.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

·Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production & plant equipment whilst driving efficiencies through continuous improvement activities.

·Execute maintenance procedures and prioritise all work in line with plant needs and production availability.

·Complete regular checks and testing on all plant to ensure they are operating within specification. (recorded appropriately)

·Ensure that Health and Safety and Quality procedures are followed, ensuring that standards are maintained i.e., work in a tidy, clean, safe, structured and professional manner.

·Comply with all Corporate, Health and Safety and Environmental rules, standards and legislation (including 17th edition IEE Wiring Regulations for multi-skilled).

·Assisting when required with BS maintenance – e.g., boilers etc.

Skills and competencies required for this role:


·Experience of working on various machinery e.g., workshop machines such as saws, routers, CNC machines, plant machinery.

·Mechanical qualification City & Guilds & / or NVQ L3 equivalent and or Electrical qualification City & Guilds or NVQ L3 equivalent

·Experience of troubleshooting and resolving issues.

·Detailed experience of carrying out reactive, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.


·Can do approach to problems.

·Ability to work independently and manage self and time.

·Ability to communicate well with all levels of staff and contractors within the business.

·Works well as part of a team
