Our Client requires a Sales Engineer, the post holder works closely with the Sales Director and Head of Business Development.

 

Role:                            Sales Engineer -mechanical bias

Location:                     Biggin Hill (own transport required)

Salary:                         competitive with good benefits

Hours:                         8.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday

 

Ideally degree or time served – mechanical bias.

 

OVERALL OBJECTIVE

Assist the Head of Business Development by being a key point of contact for clients in USA/UK/Asia/Europe/China/ROW and provide both pre-and after-sales advice.  To liaise with customers on a daily basis and carry out sales quotations, develop new Tech-Centres within designated regions and to promote the co’s range of products.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

• Searching for new clients who might benefit from company products or services and maximising client potential in designated regions
• Developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their requirements
• Monitor USA/UK/Asia/Europe/China/ROW with regards to product quotes converted through to orders.
• Persuading clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery
• Preparing client quotations for spares, burners and boilers and following them up to see if the quotes met with their expectations and updating the CRM accordingly
• Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services
• Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs
• Attending Sales Exhibitions and Training schools in the USA/Europe/UK
• Liaising with the engineering team
• Producing monthly contract reports
• Producing, maintaining and editing company brochures and price lists
• Keeping the LinkedIn page up to date by adding regular posts and videos
• Keeping the website up to date
