Our Client based in Hoo is seeking a Business Development Engineer

Location:                                Hoo – must have own transport

Hours:                                    Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4pm

Friday 7:30am to 12:30pm.

Job Type:                               Full-time, Site based

Business Development Engineer Desirable requirements:

 

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both a one to one and group environment

 

• Educated to min of A Level or BTEC/HNC etc, either an engineering discipline or an aptitude for technical learning (physics)

 

• Ability to interact with people at all levels – written and face to face

 

• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft applications

 

 

Business Development Engineer Responsibilities:

 

• Developing a strong understanding of company products, competitors and positioning.

 

• Identifying needs and building strategic relationships with new customers.

 

• Seek out new customers by following up leads with visits to demonstrate the product portfolio offered by the company.

 

• Working closely with the technical services team to develop new product solution packages

 

• Preparing client presentations.

 

• Runing product training, product demonstrations and classroom presentations.

 

• Assisting the UK Sales team, taking newly generated tender opportunities from RFI through POQ to full tender award.

 

• Collaborating with the product design and sales teams to ensure that requirements are met.

 

• Submit monthly sales report and data analysis to update market and customer information
