Our Client based in Dartford is recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Controller (Goods In) – 6-month contract.  The role reports directly to the Logistics Manager and is based off site at their 3rd party logistics company.

 

Working hours:                    Monday to Friday, either 8am to 4.30pm or 9am to 5.30pm

Salary:                                    £25,000 pa + benefits – pro rata

                                                6 month contract

Excellent benefits package including a non-contractual bonus of 3%, health care, pension, 21 days holiday in year 1, rising to 26 with service, subsidised restaurant, free parking + much more

The main responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

Be responsible for the accurate receipt and inspection of Raw Materials, Packaging and Distributed products – including labelling, the coordination of deliveries, auditing of paperwork, approval of material, and completion of packing documentation to facilitate 3rd party warehouse for picking, checking and dispatch of finished goods.

 

The ideal Warehouse Controller candidate would possess recognised skill and/or qualifications within warehousing gained whilst working in a distribution (manufacturing) warehouse.

 

The successful Warehouse Controller candidate will have

  • a good understanding of the requirements of ISO9001:2008
  • Good understanding of ERP/WMS systems and competence.
  • 5 years-experience at working in a team environment.
  • Good understanding of working in a Continuous Improvement culture.
  • Competent in the use of MS office suite of software applications i.e. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Inventory control, order processing, Kanban & FIFO Management in a distribution environment.
  • Ability to follow SOP’s and work flow instructions.

 

 

Other Warehouse Controller skills/attributes:

  • flexible approach to work
  • an energetic personality
  • proven experience of working in a team-based ‘continuous improvement’ culture
  • Computer literate e.g. Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential
  • It is desirable (not essential) that candidates have good skills in the use of Oracle.
